Can a chipped windscreen be repaired?

Some chips and limited cracks can be repaired by a specialist using a suitable resin process. Other damage requires replacement.

A technician should assess the glass before confirming which option is appropriate. Damage near an edge, in a critical viewing area or affecting multiple layers of the windscreen may limit repair options.

Damage directly in the driver’s view can interfere with visibility, even when it appears small.
